Three Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The three finalists have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The finalists were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.
The 2025 recipient will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.
The ceremony will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
