Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions
The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but can the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, readers and a range of guests.
For week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
Murs' new record, the new release, is out on Friday.
Football and Parenting Life
Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games over time - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer team," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this game will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was still Forest manager.
Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.
My son told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.
Fulham have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of October.
But I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's home record, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
