Iranian Forces State Attack on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and ongoing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity near the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any destruction is not yet known and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.
Missile Defenses Activated
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted sites linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.
Additional Developments
In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a several projectiles," it added.
The statement noted debris fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
