AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official release, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.
The mission concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with numerous objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

This patch also introduces the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery." This humorous mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade characteristic skills: Naoe introduces a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
